Changes in Worker Registration Rules
''Do I need to register with the Home Office?''
The registration rules for A8 nationals have been in place since May 2004 but have now ended.
From May 1st 2011 nationals from A8 states (Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia & Slovenian) are no longer required to register their employment with the Home Office under the Workers Registration Scheme.
A8 nationals will now have the same rights as other EU workers.
In addition, you can apply for a residence certificate on form EEA1 confirming your right to reside in the UK. There is no fee for residence applications.
